When should i replace my apple powerbook g4 battery?
I got the battery last september, how should i know when it is time to replace it, and should i buy the new one from apple, or a third party seller? Im not sure if the batterys wear down after, do they?
Unless you are noticing a significant drop in the amount of time your battery lasts between charges, there is no reason to replace it. The battery is designed to be recharged thousands of times and should serve you without problems for years.
If for some reason it does start only lasting a short while between charges, I would suggest getting a new one from apple. Third party suppliers will not have to maintain the same quality standards that the official parts do.
