Bad Hard

Who knows how to extract data from a bad hard drive?
Hard drive went bad and I need my quickbook files off it. Is it possible to do this, and does anyone know how??
it depend on how bad it is. if it will spin up chances are you “may” be able to get data off it. if it clicks and grinds,the chances are not so good. if it wont do anything there is not a chance unless you want to spend thousands of dollars for a professional recovery. there are ways to do it such as replacing the controller board from a drive purchased that the board is still good on but the platters are damaged,etc. this only reenforces the need to make regular back ups so that your important data is preserved.
