I broke my hand doing a tsuk on vault and landing on it with it in a fist (right in the middle), Then when we started learning yeurchenkos, i threw my head back and jammed my fingers into the vault….i broke my middle and ring fingers on my right hand. My ring finger is still crooked from one year ago.
I am still in gymnastics and i just completed my first year of level nine, i made to state, then regionals, then Westerns. Regionals was my best meet. I am currently thinking about quitting.
I have low confidence when it comes to competing. I just don’t like it. I try to do well because I have to , that’s what gymnastics is all about. Though I have low confidence, I must have at least a little to make it to westerns in my first year of level nine. But i am not willing to to do rec gymnastics. I love the big tricks and stuff that you throw into the foam pits (it doesn’t hurt when you land completely submerged in smushy foam
)
My coaches are Kathy Vigil, Jason Baits, and 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist Jaycie Phelps (now Jaycie McClure)
My gym is Colorado Aerials
I have never switched gyms, and I don’t plan to.
I am currently in level 9 and unsure about whether or not i should stay with it =/
