Does anyone know why type of hard drive is inside a 250gb Western Digital My Book Essential Edition?
The reason i need to know is i am exchanging a broken hard drive and it needs to be EIDE to be used in my xbox.
Not certain, but odds are that it is NOT EIDE drive- it uses a USB 2.0 interface. Since it was built expressly for an external Hard drive, it may not HAVE any other interface-Western Digital could simply have made it without any other interface. However, you can pick up an EIDE HDD for under $100 on almost any on-line retailer.
