Problems backing-up computer information on to an external hard-drive?
The external hard-drive in question is a Buffalo HD-CEU2 DriveStation. I bought it yesterday and have attempted to add information to the external HDD but on each occasion it has said that this is not possible.
Can I convert the hard-drive to another format?
All help is gratefully received 
The drive is definitely on- I can find it in the ‘My Computer’ section in the same way that you could find a pen-drive and other external sources
Not sure what a “drive station” is. I have an external drive that I use regularly – just copy from one drive and paste into the other drive. Are you sure your external drive is actually turned on? There is a little on/off switch on mine
