whats the difference between sata 1.5 2.5 3.5? also…?
hi im after a new hard drive for my comp as mine is crap 200GB split 2 ways 
so i need to know the difference between the different types 1.5 2.5 and 3.5?
also will they all run on my motherboard? Asus M2NSLI-DELUXE
also is this one good?

Looks like you confusing SATA rate of transfer with physical size of the drive! SATA 1.1 has a 1.5GT/s that is it can transfer 1.5GB of data per second (top speed) the SATA 2.0 ( SATA II) can transfer up to 3GT/s or 3GB per second while the SATA 3.0 (SATA III) 6GT/s can transfer up to 6GB per second. The drives are in either 2.5 inch (laptop size) or 3.5 inch (desktop size) Your desk star is a conventional desktop at 7200 RPM’s that is SATA II with the 3GB transfer rate Your mother board was made before the 6GT/s came out…though you could us one it would only default the 3GT/s ..so YES your 1T SATA II will work.
