HELP! my SATA 200gb western digital HD disapears.?
upon start-up the HD is visable and works properly, after writing files or using files on the HD it eventually disapears.. from [my computer] and from [disk managment]. disapears from the computer completely and only shows up again after restarting the computer, or disconnectiing / reconnecting the HD. I will also mention it is my 2nd hardrive.. my OS is on a western digital 40gb IDE.
I have tried replacing the sata cable, along with moving the cable to a different sata slot, from 1 to 4… i have checked the HD for viruses and errors. THe hard drive is not full and appears to be healthy.
when the HD disapears. the HD is still on ( spinning )…
reinstalling driver didnt work..
I think this problem is because i have VISTAfail…
re install your ide driver and check again…if still not working…restore your pc where it is working good before
