To the people who are only licensed to drive auto’s why did you choose that route instead of manual??
In the UK, you can take your pratical driving test in an auto but you’ll only be entitled to drive auto’s not manuals.
To some driving doesn’t come naturally so not having to think about what gear to be in or clutch control makes passing the test easier.
I think it would be a good thing to limit all new drivers to an automatic for 12 months so they get a chance to learn some road sense.
For those on the wrong side of the pond – I doubt you’d be so keen on an automatic if the engine was a 1300 CC, had no power and took 30 seconds to reach crusing speed.
