Is drink-drive the same as using a mobile phone for a supervisor of a learner driver?

basically theres rules that a supervisor of a learner driver are not allowed to use a mobile phone whilst supervising the learner but does the same apply to the drink-drive limit (i.e the supervisor being over the legal drink-drive limit as well as obviously the driver him/herself but was wondering if theres already a law for that as well?

The supervisor of a learner driver is subject to exactly the same rules as the driver himself, because they have to be in a position to take over.

So the answer is yes! an over the limit supervisor would be treated exactly the same way if they failed the breathalyser.
