Eco Drive

I have a Citizen Eco Drive watch that won’t hold a charge. I’ve put under a light for 24 hrs still no charge.
I read that the secondary battery does not need changeing, is this true?
I had a eco drive I forgot about in a drawer. I had to leave it on my porch for 4 days then it started working again. If anything take it to zales they can check it out.
