Can my Laptop Screen go Black after Accidentally Dropping it?
The screen is totally black after a friend accidentally pushed by it and dropped it on the carpet. The HDD seems okay but the screen is not.
A black screen is one of the many things that can happen to a dropped laptop. Since your HDD seems fine, my guess is the damage is limited to the laptop screen. Connect your laptop to an external monitor and see if it works there.
