What do you think is the best ide for COBOL, if i will use it for simple programming using Windows XP?

I don’t have any idea how to get started with cobol, I need to learn this language, and i dont know what ide to use.

COBOL is, in my experience, found in mainframe environment, so you would need access to a mainframe to use it or perhaps a virtual machine environment that emulates a mainframe environment. To use via windows you would need an emulator to interface with the mainframe. If you just want to learn some code there are compilers here if you are working on basic assignments

I think that a good solution to this is to learn COBOL.Net (previously Visual Age)
