How to Check Hard Disk RPM Western Digital?
My Main hard drive for my computer recently died on me. I wasn’t sure the rpm on it
WD200BB-32AUA1 this is its model number, a western digital 20gb hard drive IDE. The motor inside of it failed me >_< and so i replaced it with my brothers desktop that he hardly use and after install it, i realize that its been causing issue like sound to my computer when im playing a video causes a vibrating sound. When i install something it just lags the music i play. Its model number is WD400EB-11CPF0
If anyone could help me tell what the RPM for these hard drives are
Out of curiosity, why do you care what rpm the drives are?
I couldn’t google an official WD match, but the retail hits I had indicate that the WD200BB-32AUA1 is a 7200 rpm drive, WD400EB-11CPF0 is a 40 GB 5400 rpm drive. RPM doesn’t matter so much, they’re both limited by the old IDE/ATA 100 interface to relative slow data rates.
