It is not build yet because i have spent the past month looking for the best prices and components to go with. I plan to build it in the beginning of May. Here are the specs:
OCZ ram 800mhz 2GB (eventual upgrade to 4gb)
EVGA 1333 FSB 122-CK-NF68 NF680i SLI, S775, PCI-E (x16) Motherboard
Intel E6700 Core 2 Duo
768MB Gainward Bliss 8800GTX (G80) , HDTV 2 x Dual Link DVI-I
Case and 700 watt X power psu
2X Western Digital WD1600JS Caviar SE 250GB 7200RPM SATAII/300 8MB Cache RAID 0
Total = £1168.25
This is the best price i could get off all the cheapest sites including Ebay, Ebuyer, Dabs, Advance Tec and X case.co.uk
I dont want to go over £1180 so is there anything i can improve on?
I would recommend a better brand of motherboard, such as an ASUS. EVGA is known for their graphics cards, not their motherboards. Also, I’ve never heard of that brand of graphics card. I’d recommend a BFGTech card; although BFG cards are more expensive, they are a LOT better performing and ALL cards come with a lifetime warranty.
