What is that chip inside Hard drive enclosures?

There is a chip inside of External Hard drive enclosures that has the USB, Power, etc. On the inside of the enclosure it has the connecter for the data cable. Does anyody know what that chip/card is called and where i can buy one, i need to connect two 500GB HDD’s together, they used to be a 1TB but the PCB board’s fried, ive already replaced those, ive got the data cable that connects two harddrives together, but i dont have the original case the two drives were in, so i need that chip that is inside the enclosure.
