Dell Streak (Android) or Windows Phone 7?
Windows Phone 7 is the first smartphone I used (HTC Trophy), but I dropped it from a big distance and it broke. So I am getting a new phone. Windows Phone 7 would be good, I’d just choose a different model like the LG Quantum. However I have never tried Android (don’t like Google much but hey) and the Dell Streak seems the most eyecatching in terms of form factor. What are your thoughts on both? And does anyone know if the Streak will get Android 2.3 or not?
I will try to answer your question without bias.
Windows Phone 7 is my favorite OS. It’s simply fast and I love the interface. I’ve never experience any hang since I bought (my Samsung Focus). Anyhow, as you have probably already realized, the OS is still now and some features are still lacking.
Android, on the other hand, is feature pack. It does almost everything you can think of. That said, it has very poor performance and in my case, crash at least once a week and hence the reason I bought my Focus in the first place.
As for the LG Quantum, my friend (he’s a keyboard type of guy) has one and he simply love it.
