Can SATA 1 Hard Drives be used with sata 2 motherboards for example WD Raptor X 74gb hard drive on a 780i motherboard and when do the new WD 300gb 10,000RPM Raptors come out
Yes, the motherboard will recognize the interface and adapt accordingly. Sometime this summer, i didn’t read anywhere that a release has been set.
