how much power do hard drives actually consume?

my old PC consumes 244 watts idle on a 750Watt PSU, a little i know but it was on offer and cheaper than the 450watt power supplies.
i was snooping around on amazon to refurb it and give it a new hard drive i looking at seagate’s so-called ‘low power’ 5900 RPM 1TB Barracuda (i love that song) HDD but how much power do these hard drives consume:
10,000 RPM WD velociraptor? (are they any good by the way?)
7,200 RPM WD caviar?
5,900 RPM seagate barracuda?
rejig of the first bit, it;s meant to say ‘a little overkill i know.’

7-8W idle
12-14W load

Max possible: 18watt

the 5900RPM HD will probaly max out a 10watts with the caviar at 14 and the barracuda at 15-16…
