New PC first boot up?

So I just build my own PC. Chose the parts myself and went back home and build it….the only thing that I don’t have still is windows 7. The PC boots normally I think and I get to the BIOS and everything looks normal, it recognizes all hardware installed and it all looks fine. I make it to boot from the DVD first and until my win7 arrives I try my old Vista Ultimate 32 bit edition.
Well…it didn’t boot. It said: “Restart and choose a proper boot device or insert bootable media inside”

Go into your BIOS and change your boot sequence.
Boot from your optical drive first.
