How do I load the necessary drivers for my my CD-ROM that is an SCSI connection via a floppy diskette ?

I just installed a new seagate hd on my dell laptop L400 and am trying to install a full copy of WinXP. However, it appears that it can not boot the XP CD-ROM even though I changed the bios to boot from CD-ROM. Note I have an external CD-ROM that conncets via an SCSI connector.

Make sure that CD is good, and make sure your BIOS sees your CDROM too.. If you didn’t install drivers for your SCSI drive, your computer doesnt even know the drive is there, but then again you say you can boot from an ISO CD. HMM, not sure try in command prompt, entering the installation process manually.. type D(or drive letter assigned to your drive):i386winnt32
