Seagate Diamondmax

I’m comparing two hard disks, each of which are very different beasts, with one being an elderly SCSI and the other being a recent ATA. I’m not interested in capacity, interface, etc. What I would like to know is, which one will give faster throughput? And by how much? The specs are here, but i’m a bit dumb to understand it. Cheers!

Comp tech has it right… A 10K RPM SCSI will outperform the SATA drive pretty consistently. As far as throughput goes they will be pretty close. Looking at throughput only is a little odd… I trust you’re going to be dealing with large non-fragmented files? If not then you may want to consider looking at the other specs as well.
