How do i get Seagate. 5 Year warranty ? do i have make account and HDD number on that ?

i am going to buy seagate HDD so i would like to no if any thing goes worng how can get replacement or …?

To get a replacement call the company tech support or customer service. They will ask you for the serial number of the hard drive, then they look it up to verify if its still under warranty and if it is they will give you shipping info to mail back the busted hard drive once they get the old one then they ship the new one to you. The reason they wait until they get your old one first is so they dont get scammed by people who claim they have one of their products but dont, in a nut shell they dont want to send out free hard drives to people that never actually bought there stuff.
