How can I get a Seagate USB portable hard drive to work with a hub?
I only have one USB port on my laptop that I mostly use for a wireless USB laser mouse and sometimes I have to transfer files on the hard drive to the laptop. That means I have to unplug the mouse’s receiver from the laptop and put the hard drive on the one USB port just to transfer or copy the files to the laptop. I try to put the hard drive and mouse receiver on a hub but the hard drive won’t work and the mouse cursor won’t move. Please help me out.
a usb hub is the only thing i can think of that will work. does your usb hub work with anything? it’s possible you don’t have the proper drivers installed for the hub.
