Can you download directly to a portable usb drives?
If I get a portable usb drive do you have to downlaod the files to the computer first or can you download things directly to the usb drive. Any other option of whether it is a good buy or not would be helpful also. I am new to a lot of this, I just got a MP3 player, and my son has a PSP, I was thinking it might make it easier with the portable usb. Let me know.
You can download to your usb, but I would suggest still downloading to your PC. There is all ways a chance that the file could become corrupted if your usb drive is pulled during a file transfer. You may never have a problem, but transferring from your PC to a usb should be fast, but depending on your download speeds it may take a while to get that file you want off the Internet. The less time it takes to get it onto your usb drive the better, and you’ll reduce the chance of a failed download.
