Toshiba Ipod

how can i connect my ipod to a toshiba vx635 42″? it plugs in, but my ipod keeps saying do not disconnect?
whenever i plug it in my ipod just says disconnect, i have left it in a long time, maybe 10 minutes for it to load and nothing has happened, and im not sure how to find out why.
Doesn’t sound like a viable input you are attempting to use on the TV set…most likely it’s the SERVICE port you are connected to…
