I want to get an SSD drive. Will the SATA II one work for me?
I was hoping to get this SSD:

It says it’s a SATA II drive. I just put together a new computer and I’m wondering if SATA II will work or not on my computer?
It’s a PC, all the parts are very current.
Thanks!
Mark
Oh and my current hard drive is the:
Western Digital Caviar Black WD7501AALS 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5″ Hard Drive
And I have a:
ASUS P7P55D Deluxe LGA 1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard
Yes it will work.
What is your operating system? XP. Vista, or Windows 7?
For XP only, you have to do a special drive alignment or you will see a performance degradation.
Vista and Windows 7 does this automatically when doing a fresh installation from the original CD:
