Dell inspiron 1501 Wifi switch no long work?

I used to be able to switch the wifi on and off by click Fn+F2, but somehow I found it doesn’t work anymore. I uninstalled and installed my wireless card, but it didn’t help. Anyway it always shows “this device works properly”
I have this laptop for about three years now and I always use the original VISTA system with all the required updates.
